We’ve selected some songs for our pole dancing playlist that are great to pole dance to. Whether you dance in pole dance shoes or bare foot hopefully one of the songs on the playlist will work for you.
If you are constantly on the look out for new songs for pole dance or if you are simply fed up of the same playlist being played at your pole class then this list is for you. It will also be useful for those that have no idea about music and are searching desperately for a tune to perform to.
We’ve tried to select tunes from multiple genres to so that is something for everyone. It’s just a selection of the tunes out there that are just simply the best to pole dance to.
1. Lil Nas X - MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)
I was at a workshop earlier this year in Birmingham and the routine we learned was to this. I don’t normally care too much for routines but I actually loved this one. It was a great pole dancer song, not too fast but not slow either. Just right for a bit of floorwork, some spins and the odd trick.

2. Air – Sexy Boy
This French song is a classic sensual song, perfect for pole dance routines. It’s really easy to move to, it has a hypnotic rhythm and it’s very sensual. What more do you need?!
3. Nirvana – Heart-Shaped Box
My husband is always suggesting this for routines. Drops and some crazy slides would look awesome during the chorus.
4. Shania Twain – Man, I Feel Like a Woman!
I used this for a beginners routine a bout ten years ago 🙂
5. Destiny’s Child – 8 Days of Christmas
If you need a tune for Christmas this would work well with some spins and floorwork.
6. Shirley Bassey – Diamonds Are Forever
James Bond theme tunes always work really well for pole routines.
7. Jefferson Airplane – High Flying Bird
The hypnotic melody of this song makes it great to dance to.
8. Breaking Benjamin – Dance With The Devil
Perfect for those Halloween routines.
9. Tears for Fears – Head Over Heels
My friend is always making tunes up to Tears for Fears songs. This is my favourite that she has used.
10. Journey - Don't Stop Believing
Start slowly with some single or double handed pirouettes and then fly into a fast spin when the tempo builds.
