Are there fake Pleasers?

Yes. The biggest risk is fake websites that copy Pleaser’s name and sell shoes at huge discounts, then send nothing or the wrong item. Buying from Pleaser itself or an established stockist is the simplest way to be sure you get the real thing.

How can I tell if a Pleaser website is fake?

Look for these red flags before you pay. Most come from Italian Pleaser stockist Pole Dance Trading, which has written about customers caught out by fake Pleaser sites:

Red flagWhy it matters
Huge discounts, like 60–70% offItalian Pleaser stockist Pole Dance Trading says genuine Pleasers are never discounted that much in official stores
No company address, phone or VAT numberA real shop tells you who it is and how to contact it
A shop name or web address that copies “Pleaser”Fake sites imitate the brand’s name and look
No reviews, or only very new onesCheck Google and Trustpilot reviews before you pay
Payment taken, but no trackingA common complaint in reports about fake Pleaser sites
No proper box or labelsGenuine footwear comes with consistent branding on the box and labels

Quick check: if a site is selling brand-new Pleasers for a fraction of the price everywhere else, and you can’t find out who runs it, don’t buy.

How can I check the shoes themselves?

Check the box, the labels and how well they’re made. Footwear retailer Boot World advises that counterfeit shoes often don’t carry genuine branding, and that the stitching and finish are often sloppy or uneven. Genuine Pleasers come in a box showing the model and size, and Pleaser stockists ask for the box code and barcode if you need to report a fault, so keep the box.

Is it safe to buy Pleasers on eBay, Vinted or Amazon?

It can be, but check the seller. Boot World warns that auction and resale sites make it harder to know if shoes are genuine. On Amazon, look for listings sold by Pleaser or a known stockist. On eBay and Vinted, check feedback, ask for photos of the box and soles, and pay through the site so you’re covered by its buyer protection.

Where can I buy genuine Pleasers?

From Pleaser’s own website or an established stockist. Pleaser sells direct at pleasershoes.com. In the UK, see our list of trusted shops in where to buy Pleasers in the UK. For second-hand pairs, specialist preloved pole shops and pole swap groups are safer than random marketplace listings.

What should I do if I’ve bought fake Pleasers?

  1. Contact the seller in writing and keep copies of everything.
  2. If you paid by card or PayPal, contact your card provider or PayPal straight away to ask about a refund or chargeback.
  3. Report fake marketplace listings to the site, such as eBay or Amazon.
  4. In the UK, you can report a scam website to Action Fraud and get advice from Citizens Advice.
