What size Pleasers should I get?
Pleasers are sized in US women’s sizes, so take your UK size and add 3. A UK 5 is a US 8 in Pleasers. If you’re between sizes, or you’re buying boots or closed-toe shoes, many Pleaser stockists advise going up a size.

From Pleaser’s own size conversion chart (checked October 2026). Pleaser says the conversions are approximate and can vary slightly between collections.
The quick rule: UK size + 3 = Pleaser size. EU size − 30 = Pleaser size. So a UK 6 or EU 39 is a Pleaser 9.
Do Pleasers run small?
A little, according to many stockists, especially in the toe. German pole shop Peachy Boots says Pleasers often run slightly smaller or narrower, particularly in the toe box, and suggests going up a size if you’re between two. Open-toe sandals like the Flamingo and Adore usually fit in your normal converted size, because your toes have room to move.
Do Pleasers come in half sizes?
No. Pleaser’s size chart only has whole sizes. If you’re a half size, stockists usually suggest going up to the next whole size, then using a gel cushion or heel grip if the shoe feels slightly loose. That’s easier to fix than a shoe that’s too short.
Should I size up in Pleaser boots?
Often, yes. Boots and closed-toe shoes leave less room for your toes, and you may want to wear socks or knee pads with them. Stockists usually advise going up a size if you’re unsure. For thigh-high boots, also check the calf and thigh measurements on the listing, because the leg fit matters as much as the foot. See our Pleaser thigh-high boots guide.
What if I have wide feet?
Choose open-toe styles with adjustable straps, and consider going up a size. Pleaser’s chart doesn’t list different widths. Clear PVC straps give a little as they warm up, while patent leather stretches much less. Ask the shop before you buy, as some will tell you which styles are roomier.
Are the Flamingo and Adore the same size?
Usually, yes. They use the same sizing, so most people wear the same size in both. The Flamingo’s 8 inch heel is higher than the Adore’s 7 inch heel, so your foot slides forward a little more in the Flamingo. A ball-of-foot gel cushion can help. See our reviews of the Pleaser Flamingo and Pleaser Adore.
Not sure whether to go for 7 or 8 inches? See our guide to pole heel heights.
How do I measure my foot for Pleasers?
- Stand on a sheet of paper against a wall, with your heel touching the wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
- Measure both feet in the evening, when feet are at their biggest, and use the longer one.
- Compare the length with the size guide on the shop’s product page. As a rough guide, Peachy Boots lists a Pleaser US 8 (UK 5) for a foot about 24.8 cm long.
What if Demonia or men’s sizes are listed?
Pleaser, Devious and Lucious shoes are marked in US women’s sizes. Demonia, which is also sold by Pleaser USA, is marked in either US women’s or US men’s sizes, so check the listing. A US men’s size is two smaller than the US women’s size, so a men’s 7 is a women’s 9.
Fixes for a pair that’s nearly right
Ball-of-foot gel cushions
Stick-in gel pads stop your foot sliding forward in high heels, which helps if a pair feels slightly big or you’re between sizes.
Heel grips
Soft pads for the back of the shoe or boot. Handy if your heel slips out of slingbacks or boots.
Pleaser Flamingo
The classic 8 inch pole heel with a 4 inch platform, and a popular first pair. Read our review first.
Where to buy Pleasers in the right size
Buy from a shop that takes returns, and try new shoes on carpet so you can send them back if they don’t fit. See our guide to where to buy Pleasers in the UK, or our Pleaser guide to choose a style.
